#271 - elephantastic - part 1

Has anybody else heard of the elephant graveyard, or did I just make it up? I think Tarzan went there once? Maybe? Anyway: ELEPHANTS.

#272 - elephantastic - part 2

I hope you all had an agreeable easter! I am now feeling nicely rested, and maybe just maybe I might do another update later this week.

#273 - elephantastic - part 3

Ok, so I didn't manage 2 strips last week, but I have already started the strip for friday. Unprecedented! So if I don't get two strips out this week, you fully have my permission to kick my 'ass'. Softly.

As an added bonus, if you vote for the comic you can also see my various attempts at drawing the elephant. As is always the way I actually prefer these rough sketches to the real thing. A thousand curses!

Oh! And I have a guest strip up over at Afterstrife today. Afterstrife is the latest offering from comic stalwart Ali Graham, and it's definitely worth checking out: it is proving to be a mystery as deep as the ocean. And twice as wide.

#274 - lobstu'thu petuniaghn

I wish I could have finished this one properly because I was kind of pleased with how it came out, but then I spent 3 hours trying to decide what Beaver should say in that last panel. I can think of at least 14 better ways of spending 3 hours.

#275 - salt assault

And coincidentally this morning I stumbled upon this. Ew.

#276 - prespititation

Would you like to see some crudely scrawled early designs I did for the moon? Well you're in luck: if you vote for the comic today you'll get to see a whole page of them! Serendipitastic!

I'm currently in the middle of switching internet providers at home, so I'm without internet access right now. I feel the urge to go out and hunt a mammoth kicking in. This means there might be a few late updates in the next couple of weeks while I track down internet cafes to upload the comic from.

I've been meaning to mention the whole Todd Goldman looking suspiciously like he is the world's laziest art thief thing for a while (Todd Goldman being the guy behind the David and Goliath design label). It's all kind of depressing and I think it's important to get the word out there to as many people as possible: don't buy David and Goliath merchandise.

There are two reasons for this: (1) it is becoming increasingly apparent that the designs are all 'borrowed' from other far more talented artists and (2) they are all really really bad. I can't believe anyone bought these even before they knew they were ripped off. I can think of at least one better place to get shirts from *cough*, but there are lots of others. Screw Todd Goldman - support online designers!

Oh gosh, all this righteous indignation has been far too much for me. I'd better sit down and have a chocolate hob nob.
